Fire water tank pump station is a fire water supply device that combines a fire water tank with a fire pump group. It is mainly used to provide fire water for buildings or places. Composition structure
Fire water tank: used to store fire water to ensure that sufficient water can be provided in the event of a fire. The materials usually include stainless steel, hot-dip galvanized steel plate, SMC fiberglass, etc., which have the characteristics of corrosion resistance, high strength and long life. The shape is mostly rectangular or circular, and different volumes and sizes can be selected according to actual needs.
Fire pump group: including fire main pump, fire pressure regulating pump, etc. The fire main pump is the core equipment of the fire water tank pump station, which is used to provide sufficient pressure and flow to the fire system in case of fire to meet the fire extinguishing needs; the fire pressure regulating pump is used to maintain the pressure stability of the fire pipe network, ensuring that the pressure can be replenished in time when the pressure of the pipe network drops in the early stage of the fire or in normal times.
Control system: generally composed of control cabinets, sensors, instruments, etc., which can monitor the water level of the fire water tank, the pressure of the fire pipe network and other parameters in real time, and automatically control the start and stop of the fire pump group according to the set value to realize the intelligent control of the fire water supply system.
Pipes and accessories: including water inlet pipes, water outlet pipes, gate valves, check valves, safety valves, pressure gauges, etc., used to connect fire water tanks, fire pump groups and fire pipe networks to realize the transportation and control of water flow and ensure the normal operation of the fire water supply system.
Working principle
Normal high-pressure fire water supply system: The fire water tank is set at the highest point of the building and uses gravity to supply water to the fire system. In this system, the water level of the fire water tank is always maintained at a certain height to ensure that when a fire occurs, the fire pump can provide sufficient pressure and water for the fire system without starting it.
Temporary high-pressure fire water supply system: The pressure in the fire pipe network is usually maintained within a certain range by the fire pressure regulating pump. When a fire occurs, the sprinkler or fire hydrant is triggered, and the pressure in the fire pipe network drops. When the pressure drops to the set value, the fire main pump automatically starts, draws water from the fire water tank and supplies water to the fire pipe network to meet the pressure and flow required for fire extinguishing.
Type
Assembled box pump integrated fire pump station: It adopts modular design and can be prefabricated in the factory and then assembled on site. It has the advantages of convenient installation, short construction period, and small footprint. It is widely used in new, rebuilt and expanded fire water supply systems of various buildings.
Buried fire water tank pump station: The fire water tank and fire pump group are buried underground, which does not occupy the ground space. It has good concealment and aesthetics. It is suitable for places with high requirements for ground space, such as city squares, parks, residential areas, etc.
Ground fire water tank pump station: It is usually set in the pump room above the ground, which is convenient for maintenance and management. It is suitable for various buildings, but it needs to occupy a certain ground space.
Setting requirements
Location selection: It should be set in a location that is convenient for operation, maintenance and repair, and should avoid being set in areas susceptible to natural disasters such as flooding and earthquakes. For high-rise buildings, the fire water tank pump station should be set up in the basement or first floor of the building; for multi-story buildings, it can be set up inside or outside the building according to actual conditions.
Fire water tank volume: It should be determined according to factors such as the type, height, and area of the building to ensure that the fire water demand can be met during the duration of the fire. For example, the first-class high-rise public building should not be less than 36m³, and the second-class high-rise public building and the first-class high-rise residential building should not be less than 18m³.
Selection of fire pump group: The flow rate and head of the fire pump should be calculated and determined based on factors such as the fire water consumption and the pressure loss of the fire pipe network, and should meet the requirements of being able to supply water to all fire-fighting facilities at the same time in the event of a fire.
Pipeline layout: The inlet and outlet pipes should be set separately, and air bags, water hammers, etc. should be avoided in the pipeline. The diameter of the pipeline should be determined based on factors such as the fire water consumption and flow rate, and the pressure resistance level of the pipeline should be ensured to meet the requirements.
